Thank you for your outstanding report on my ancestor, Mary Ellen Walsh. It is truly amazing that you found her siblings scattered among the various parishes over a wide span of years! I could not believe my eyes when I read your report. You have done a wonderful job! My father and aunt will be thrilled. My father, the eldest, is 85; my aunt began searching in the 1970s when Mary Ellen Walshâ€s daughter was still alive. On their behalf, I thank you very much. Kathleen Dubin, Florida.
Mallow Heritage Centre did outstanding research on my family. Its representative, Martina Aherne, was very cooperative and she was a pleasure to deal with. The information she generated for me encouraged me to take my five children and their spouses, and my brother and sister and their families to Ireland. We all wanted to place our feet on the ground that our forefathers had walked on. My oldest son so enjoyed the trip that he is returning with 15 of his friends in September 2000 to play golf. As a result of my trip, friends of mine have also worked with the Mallow Heritage Centre. To date, two groups of 10 and 18 have also gone to Ireland because of the report sent to them by Martina Aherne. Joseph M Walsh, New Jersey.
In 1990 my wife and I visited Mallow Heritage Centre and it was through their information and wonderful help that we found the property at Ballyviniter that my great grandfather was born on. Descendants of his brother still live on land. I cannot recommend the centre highly enough as without their help we would not know what we now know. Ian Cummins, N.S.W, Australia.
I have visited several heritage centre and find the Mallow Centre to be the most personable and efficient. You are always welcomed at the centre by the friendly and knowledgeable staff. Ray Davies Florida
